Production Packaging Coordinator

Description

The Production Packaging Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the packaging label operation and ensuring the accurate and timely application of product labels in accordance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role supports daily production needs by managing label inventory, operating labeling equipment, and monitoring production’s schedule and demand to maintain workflow efficiency. This role requires strict adherence to safety, quality standards, and attention to detail to maintain product integrity. 

Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

1. Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure personal and workplace safety.

2. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

3. Always wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

4. Perform detail-oriented and precision work while in a fast-paced environment.

5. Apply product and regulatory labels to containers in accordance with SOPs and quality standards.

6. Operate, monitor, and maintain labeling equipment; troubleshoot issues and perform basic maintenance or escalate to vendors as needed.

7. Monitor production label demands; print and stage labels according to the daily schedule and work order requirements.

8. Collaborate with production scheduling to ensure labels are applied ahead of production runs.

9. Maintain accurate label stock inventory; order and restock labels based on forecasted production needs.

10. Inspect empty packaging containers prior to labeling to verify packaging quality and integrity

11. Understand and adhere to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory principles.

12. Operate a forklift to transport materials safely.

13. Participate actively in plant safety initiatives, training sessions, and programs.

14. Maintain punctuality by reporting to workstations on time, including after breaks and lunch.

15. Work a schedule of (5) full 8-hour workdays per week, with the ability to work overtime as needed.

16. Report all safety violations, mechanical issues, or material concerns to the Manager promptly.

17. Perform additional duties as required.

Hours: Monday thru Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm

Requirements

Physical Requirements

· Walking, standing, bending, reaching, and engaging in movement throughout the day.

· Use hands and arms for repetitive labeling tasks

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 

· Ability to roll full 55-gallon drums of product.

· Working in a non-climate-controlled environment

Education Requirements

· High School Diploma or GED 

Previous Experience

Essential: 

·Worked with office printers

· Experience in a manufacturing environment
