Production Planner

Summary:

The Production Planner works in coordination with the Production Scheduler to clear the runway for the Shop to have every opportunity for unhindered production. The production planner handles daily scheduling operations including job entry, packet creation and dispersion, and capturing revision changes.

Responsibilities:

• Issue material to jobs


• Shortage reporting of pulled jobs
  
  
  
  • Notice to warehouse/fabrication/purchasing on action items
  
  
  
  


• Create and management of production job packets


• Capture and take appropriate action on substitutions/material changes/shop floor BOM changes from adjustment/MRF sheets


• Material planning
  
  
  
  • Tracking parts shortages
  
  
  • Birddogging ETAs
  
  
  • Proactive implementation of approved material substitutions
  
  
  • Utilizing Engineering to source exceptions
  
  
  
  


• Implement changes from Engineer revisions to production jobs
  
  
  
  • Ensure all changes are captured in job packets, track new parts added/removed, ensure builders and relevant parties have all necessary information
