HTI is seeking an experienced Production Planner for a leading automotive parts manufacturer in Clover, SC.What They Offer: Full benefits package - Medical, Dental, Vision, EAP, 401k Match Paid Holidays PTO Plan What You Need: 5+ years' experience in production planning/scheduling Bachelor's degree in related field is a plus ERP experience similar to SAP (Plex experience is a plus) Automotive manufacturing experience is preferred What Your Role Will Look Like:The Production Planner will develop, plan, and execute the master production schedule based on actual and forecasted customer demand. This role involves managing inventory performance, coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth production and distribution processes, and analyzing capacity constraints to recommend necessary adjustments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions. Master Production Schedule Develop, plan, and execute the master production schedule based on actual and forecasted customer demand. Generate the most efficient production schedule possible, considering inventory levels, raw materials, sales forecasts, and incoming customer orders. Inventory Management Manage and report inventory performance and other key metrics. Analyze production levels and product demand to determine reorder levels and safety stocks, ensuring product availability while minimizing inventory levels and costs. System Documentation Update and maintain system documentation to reflect current processes and procedures. Assist in maintaining an advanced scheduling plan by updating or developing a model as operations change. Coordination and Communication Work with manufacturing and logistics departments to coordinate production with all other aspects of the distribution process. Serve as a liaison between production supervisors, sales, shipping, and other departments to fulfill demand. Communicate and escalate issues where necessary, ensuring a continuous flow of material to meet customer expectations. Capacity and Resource Analysis Analyze capacity constraints and recommend necessary adjustments to resources and lead times by monitoring actual production and comparing to schedule. Efficiently utilize manufacturing resources, limiting downtime of equipment and labor while managing changeovers with respect to business variables. Workflow Planning Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times. Analyze lead times within operations and supply chain to ensure schedule accuracy. Scheduling Model Development Assist in the development of a scheduling model that includes all labor, raw material, and production variables. Update the scheduling model as operations change to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Meetings and Reporting Coordinate production schedule and update meetings, presenting the updated master production schedule and making necessary adjustments. Work to analyze production levels and product demand to determine reorder levels and safety stocks. INDPRO
