Job Description - Production Process Coordinator - Filling & Assembly


Title: Filling & Assembly (F&A) Process Coordinator (Entry Level)
Department: Operations – Production – F&A
Reports to: 1st report to Filling & Assembly Leader, 2nd report to Production Manager

Position Summary: The Filling & Assembly (F&A) Process Coordinator (Entry Level) is responsible for preparing and managing detailed production filling & assemble work instructions for cosmetic and OTC manufacturing lines. This role focuses on defining how each product should be produced by establishing line setup conditions such as manpower allocation, run rate, and all other production related process-specific requirements.

The Coordinator works closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure that all work instructions are accurate, efficient, and aligned with operational standards. This role does not primarily perform line production tasks but instead supports production by designing and coordinating how work is executed on the manufacturing floor.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed work instructions for each production run.
  • Define line setup requirements, including manpower allocation, run rate, and operational flow.
  • Establish process parameters and critical control points to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Coordinate with Line Leaders, Operators, and Quality teams to ensure work instructions are clearly understood and properly executed.
  • Review production requirements and translate them into actionable instructions for the production line.
  • Monitor production performance and update work instructions based on actual line conditions and feedback.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to optimize line productivity and throughput.
  • Ensure all work instructions comply with cGMP, safety, and quality standards.
  • Support line setup, validation, and troubleshooting activities when needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and version control of all work instructions.
  • Communicate any process changes or updates clearly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to production processes and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred  (Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field).
  • 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Entry-level candidates with strong attention to detail and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of production processes or manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Ability to read, understand, and create structured work instructions and documentation.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail, especially in documentation and process definition.
  • Good communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10–15 pounds as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in cosmetics, OTC, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with cGMP and production documentation practices.
  • Exposure to production planning, line setup, or process improvement activities.
  • Bi-lingual: In English with Spanish 

Compensation & Benefits: 
The approximate pay range for this position is $19 - 24/hr. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities.
