Production Scheduler

Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Master Scheduler to join our metal fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling all production activities, including cutting, forming, welding, blasting, painting, and assembly. This role requires a strong understanding of ERP systems and the ability to utilize them to optimize production capacity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the master production schedule to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Coordinate with department heads to align production schedules with capacity and resource availability.
• Utilize ERP systems to manage and track production schedules, inventory levels, and work orders.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address any delays or issues.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Communicate schedule changes and updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the production process.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance and schedule adherence.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production scheduling, preferably in a metal fabrication environment.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems and proficiency in using them for production planning and scheduling. Experience with M1 preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and techniques is a plus.
