This is a first shift positon. You must submit a resume to be considered for this position. Your responsibilities will include Coordinate timely acquisition and delivery of domestically and internationally purchased material to support production and service requirements based on Schedule Releases in SAP Establish and maintain superior supplier and production operation relations through written, verbal and electronic communications Schedule and communicate expedited shipments of materials to meet production and service requirements Coordinate assembly line schedule changes due to parts shortages with the Assembly Production Scheduling team Communicate end of shift status on materials / schedule to key 2nd shift personnel Coordinate shipments and receipts of subcontracted parts Perform cycle counts / log inventory counts as required Control, audit and adjust material within specified operating ranges to meet goals for accuracy and cost containment Participate in the phase in and phase out of model lines, controlling part availability for successful model line launches, and obsolescence when models are discontinued Support materials key metrics reporting with timely rollup of information, and assistance with special reports management Meet daily, weekly, monthly and yearly metrics for materials planning Create new processes to improve supplier performance, reduce expedites, and reduce inventory without causing downtime on the production lines Clear understanding of BOM's Minimum requirements High School Diploma Knowledge and understanding of material flow realted to material requirements planning (MRP) Knowledge of transportation reaquirements, customs clearance, transportation modes, and expedite processes both domestically and internationally SAP, Excel, and Google Sheets Connect with us and learn more about Whirlpool Corporation See what it's like to work at Whirlpool by visiting Whirlpool Careers.
