Eaton\u2019s Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Production Scheduler to join our team. This position is based at our Beltsville, MD facility. \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $82000 - $120000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Production Scheduler represents the manufacturing facility within a Network and has the responsibility to facilitate seamless execution and adherence to planned production volumes and dates for the plant\u2019s performance across core business objectives such as inventory, cost and customer satisfaction. The Production Scheduler\u2019s focus lies on managing the short-term frozen horizon for the plant through collaboration with cross function teams including operations, quality and engineering.\n\n * Primary Responsibilities:\n * Report and lead on SCM KPIs such as OTR, OTD, past due, inventory on the daily tier meetings (ADD)\n * Adhere and align to the Master Production Schedule. \n * When constraint; re-sequence/re-route production orders to minimize deviation from MPS.\n * Escalate execution issues to Network Schedulers when resolution time is not allowing adherence to MPS.\n * Manage shop floor scheduling; level load orders based on capacity in the cell.\n * Manage work orders to ensure manufacturing has required work at all times, communicates on overtime requirements.\n * Direct daily workflow (WIP \u2013 \u201cwork in process\u201d) through analysis of reports and input from cross-functional teams.\n * Align and set priorities for resources and shared resources across factory to maximize efficiency and material flow to ensure customer OTD.\n * Expedite orders for customers where possible; expedites shortages with buyers; communicates updates to customer service.\n * Ensure work orders for their areas of responsibility are current, not past due, not in pick status for long periods of time.\n * Support minimizing past due sales dollars, monitoring and resolving quality issues and drive customer on-time delivery.\n * Supports High Performance Work Teams \u0026 flexible/capable of working in different environments\n * Supports plant continuous improvement.\n * Prepare reports and other correspondence for use by Eaton SCM professionals.\n * Communicate with cross-functional teams including: Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Operations and Purchasing.\n * Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and techniques which will improve the scheduling function.\n * Ensure compliance with applicable contract flow down (FAR, DFAR, ITAR, etc.).\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * High school diploma or equivalent required \n * Minimum one (1) year of professional experience in supply chain or operations functions in a manufacturing environment.\n * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. \n * This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. \u00a7 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. \u00a7 1158.\n * No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beltsville, MD will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited institution. \n\u2022 3 or more years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment or supply chain.\n\n## Skills:\n\nPosition Criteria: \n\u2022 Thorough knowledge of industry, complex machined materials management, lean manufacturing, MRP/ERP, and MFG Pro a plus. \n\u2022 Proficient computer-systems knowledge and application skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerBI. \n\u2022 Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization (customers, marketing, engineering, quality, and manufacturing) is key. \n\u2022 Desire to work in a collaborative environment with strong ability to take action and get results. \n\u2022 Ability to quickly analyze, identify and implement opportunities and corporate initiatives for improvement that have a measurable impact. \n\u2022 Change management skills.\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
