Production / Shop Manager

Spaceworx is seeking an experienced Production / Shop Manager to lead and oversee all shop floor operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the production team, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high-quality standards, and meeting production deadlines. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a hands-on approach to managing a dynamic manufacturing environment focused on modular privacy pods and booths.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the entire shop floor production activities to ensure smooth operations.
• Oversee scheduling and workflow to meet production deadlines and customer requirements.
• Coordinate and collaborate with different departments such as procurement, quality control, and shipping.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure adherence to safety protocols across the shop.
• Lead, train, and mentor production staff to optimize performance and productivity.
• Implement process improvements and lean manufacturing techniques to increase efficiency.
• Manage inventory of materials and supplies necessary for production.
• Prepare production reports and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production or shop management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and shop floor operations.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in production management software or ERP systems.
• Hands-on approach with a commitment to operational excellence.
