Position Overview:
Responsible for management and oversight of operations. Administers organization policies by performing the following duties personally.
Duties & responsibilities:
All phase of anodizing process, electroplating, etc
Metal process experience is preferred … Anodizing/electroplating, etc
An understanding and experience in metal finishing environment.
Develop work load and personnel schedules to maintain and adhere to production schedule set forth.
Maintain high efficiency and low re-work on individual lines.
Evaluate any changes necessary to achieve a high level of quality.
Has dotted line responsibility for lab, waste treatment and maintenance on off shift.
Monitor performance against goals and implement corrective actions to meet goals.
Assists in other areas as needed.
Coordinate testing and inspection requirements with Quality.
Excellence interpersonal skills- can deal with challenging workforce and manage morale.
Enforce and follow all safety, environmental and housekeeping regulations (i.e wearing PPE’s at all time when out of the off area).
Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of customer parts, such as inspectors, assembly workers and packaging and shipping laborers.
Provide all necessary metrics as per management requirements.
Manage and expedite orders on hand.
Inspects and determines product quality to ensure the company standards are maintained.
Train and coach the staff properly to make sure they understand what is needed from them to be effective and successful employees.
Prior experience with root cause analysis to overcome any shortages, etc
Proficient in Microsoft Office specially words and excel usage.
Ability to correspondence with the customer and inter departmental issues.
Strong leadership, team building, interpersonal communication and listening skills
Highly motivated and results oriented
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
7+ years of experience in operations.
5+ years of experience in a supervisory/ leadership role.
Metal process experience is preferred …. Anodizing/electroplating, etc
Supervise staff of 25 to 30 employees
Ability to get things done in areas of masking, etc
An understanding and experience in metal finishing environment.
Ability to develop and execute documented plans for improvements.
Demonstrate abilities in planning, delegation, communications, problem solving, and decision making.
Demonstrate experience in cost reduction through process improvements, Continuous Improvement techniques, and project management.
Demonstrated experience in fostering a culture of team work including cross functional teams to, coach, motivate, lead and develop direct reports.
Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and Words.
Bi-lingual English with Spanish preferred
Salary : Commensurate with experience
