Job Description - Production Supervisor

Job Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and delegating the production of Stone and Laminate countertops, training and development of new and existing personnel, and developing and following through with a machine and tool maintenance program. Supervisor will maintain clean, safe production facilities to maximize safe and effective operations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee daily production operations for stone and laminate countertop manufacturing to ensure jobs are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate production with the design team, plant manager, and dispatch.

  • Supervise stone countertop production including slab layouts, CNC programming and fabrication (multiple phases), hand-finishing, and staging for installation.

  • Supervise laminate countertop production including material layout from shop or dealer drawings, substrate construction, laminate and edging application, hand-finishing, and staging for delivery.

  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules for CNC machine centers, water treatment systems, and CNC tooling to maximize tool life and minimize downtime.

  • Monitor production efficiencies, safety compliance, and quality control standards.

  • Provide daily work direction, training, coaching, and performance feedback to employees.

  • Assist with hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.



    • Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.




    • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.




    • Frequently required to walk to and from various areas within the facility.




    • In some cases, work schedules or work demands may require work to be done after normal work hours or over the weekend.




    • Occasional business travel is required.




    Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:



    • Experience with CNC machining and countertop manufacturing; stone and laminate experience preferred.




    • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, maintenance practices, and quality standards.




    • Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, coach, and supervise employees.




    • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.




    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.




    • Basic computer skills and familiarity with design and CNC-related software.
