Job Summary:
Provide Manufacturing department supervision on safety, quality, productivity, financial, and team environment objectives.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Lead corporate manufacturing team members in the implementation of safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all applicable Health & Safety regulations.
Support and collaborate with the employee safety team to promote a strong safety culture across all operations.
Foster a collaborative team environment by coaching operators and supervisors across all shifts, including:
Partnering with shift supervisors to establish and maintain a Leader Standard Work environment, defining routines and expectations.
Working with supervisors and operators to establish and achieve weekly production goals.
Developing and coordinating weekend staffing and production schedules.
Implementing process changes based on trial data and new information; teaching operators and supervisors how to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions.
Ensuring operators are properly trained and qualified in assigned production areas.
Lead corporate manufacturing process optimization and change management initiatives, including:
Optimizing raw material inventories to support on-time delivery.
Improving product quality through the development, documentation, and adherence to procedures and job instructions.
Enhancing productivity and efficiency through project management, scheduling, and coordination of production activities.
Reducing manufacturing costs through waste reduction and cost-out initiatives.
Verifying, consolidating, and maintaining accurate data for analysis.
Analyzing performance data, communicating insights effectively, and recommending follow-up actions.
Ensure accurate and timely production data is available to support decision-making, problem-solving, and performance reporting against standards, including:
Developing systems to identify, address, and follow up on deviations from standard processes.
Communicating production and process status on a daily and weekly basis.
Represent corporate manufacturing and provide ongoing support to departmental initiatives and cross-functional efforts.
