Job Description - Production Supervisor

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor. The position will be based at our facility in Wilsonville, OR. The role will support 1st shift (6am - 3pm). \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Production Supervisor leads operations with a strong focus on safety, integrity, quality, and employee development while ensuring production demands and order fulfillment goals are consistently met. This role partners closely with cross\u2011functional teams to address production challenges, drive continuous improvement, and implement cost\u2011saving initiatives. The supervisor develops shop\u2011floor talent through coaching, training, and effective delegation to ensure proper staffing and strong performance. They serve as a key point of contact for production and quality issues, fostering a safe, engaged, and inclusive work environment.\n\nRoles \u0026 Responsibilities: \n\u2022 Lead operations with a strong commitment to safety, integrity, and quality. \n\u2022 Plan and execute production activities using both tactical and strategic approaches to meet operational demands, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement through daily cross-functional collaboration. \n\u2022 Ensure departmental production targets and order fulfillment requirements are achieved and old team leaders accountable for order fulfillment \n\u2022 Generate, promote, and execute improvements to our processes and cost in production through CI and Cost savings initiatives. \n\u2022 Build and maintain a high-performing shop floor team by developing trust, understanding individual motivations, and coaching employees to improve performance. \n\u2022 Foster a safe, engaged, and inclusive work environment by enforcing company policies, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, equipment standards, and 5S+ practices. \n\u2022 Drive daily accountability by establishing, tracking, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs), participate in tier meetings, and maintain visual management boards. \n\u2022 Serve as the primary point of contact for production issues within the assigned functional area. \n\u2022 Support talent management activities, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, and employee development. \n\u2022 Assess workload requirements and delegate tasks effectively to ensure appropriate staffing levels and production coverage. \n\u2022 Lead and support quality issue investigations and resolution by collaborating with Quality Control, reinforce quality standards, and review internal and market quality trends \n\u2022 Approve and manage employee timecards in compliance with internal policies and external labor regulations \n\u2022 Conduct pre-shipment supervisory inspections to verify that quality and specifications standards are met.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited institution or High school diploma with minimum 4 years of supervisor experience within manufacturing or industrial environments \n * Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing or operations experience\n * Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience\n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Proficiency with Kanban/inventory control, Vista, AS400 or related order-management system.\n * Experience working in ISO 9001 environment.\n * Experience working in an engineer to order environment with a high level of variability.\n * Experience managing timecards in UKG, Kronos, or similar time tracking system.\n\n\n\n## Additional Information:\n\nPosition Criteria:\n\n\u2022 Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to direct, motivate, and manage employees. \n\u2022 Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and oversee production operations. \n\u2022 Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive operational improvements. \n\u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. \n\u2022 Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. \n\u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. \n\u2022 Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safe work practices. \n\u2022 Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and unexpected challenges. \n\u2022 Ability to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.\n\nWork Environment \n\u2022 Production facility environment with Personal Protective Equipment requirements including safety shoes, protective eyewear. Closed non-temperature-controlled environment. \n\u2022 Ability to lift 35lbs. per person and 70lbs. with a buddy lift; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
