This position is located in Silver Peak, Nevada.\n\nThe Production Supervisor is responsible for both the Lithium Carbonate and Lithium Anhydrous units\u2019 safety, quality, and production. They will continue to develop and foster an inclusive environment where team members are empowered to continuously improve the department. A successful Unit Supervisor has a strong operational and process background, with great time management, is a successful delegator, and can communicate across the company hierarchy effectively.\n\nWhat You Will Do\n\n * Lead the operation of both a lithium carbonate plant and an anhydrous lithium hydroxide plant.\n\n * Ensure safe operation of the unit and facilitate alignment with MSHA and corporate safety policies.\n\n * Manage operator shifts, workload and responsibilities\n\n * Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure stable and efficient plant operation\n\n * Build roadmaps and long-term plans for capital investment and improvement projects\n\n * Forecast production and maintain stable production rates\n\n * Manage the departmental budget and ensure responsible expenditure\n\n * Maintain product quality\n\n * Must be able to respond to calls outside of normal working hours to help troubleshoot process issues.\n\n\n\n\nWhat You Bring\n\nRequired:\n\n * B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering\n\n * 5+ Years of experience in operations/manufacturing environment\n\n * In lieu of BS Degree and 5 years of experience, high school diploma and 8 years of related experience\n\n * Ability to demonstrate leadership skills\n\n * Strong communication and problem-solving skills\n\n * Ability to work in cross-functional teams and drive interdepartmental efforts\n\n * RCA experience\n\n\n\n\nPreferred:\n\n * Prior experience in manufacturing\n\n * Previous leadership experience\n\n * Knowledge of Process Safety Management\n\n * Experience with MSHA or working in an MSHA regulated work environment\n\n * Experience with HR processes\n\n * Experience with Lean Management, such as Six Sigma Certification\n\n\n\n\nBenefits of Joining Albemarle\n\n * Competitive compensation\n\n * Comprehensive benefits package\n\n * A diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally.\n\n\n\n\nWe are partners to one another in pioneering new ways to be better for ourselves, our teams, and our communities.
