Production Supervisor -2nd Shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day production operations to meet customer demands and delivery schedules
  

• Manage workforce and production resources to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime
  

• Coordinate maintenance and shift coverage in response to absenteeism or equipment breakdowns
  

• Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods
  

• Monitor key performance metrics and lead initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency
  

• Enforce safety, quality, and compliance standards in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations
  

• Partner with other departments to ensure smooth plant operations and cross-functional alignment
  

• Resolve labor-related issues in accordance with company policies and union agreements
  

• Adapt to flexible work shifts as needed
  

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Superintendent or Plant Manager
  

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a production or industrial setting
  

• OR a college degree with at least 2–3 years of experience in production supervision
  

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, solve problems, and adapt quickly in a manufacturing environment
  

• Familiarity with inventory systems, ERP platforms, and quality control protocols
  

• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA standards and industrial safety practices
  

• Proficiency in written and verbal English (additional languages a plus)
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a unionized production environment
  

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  

• Proven ability to develop SOPs, manage maintenance plans, and oversee operational budgets
  

• Strong interpersonal and team-building skills
