Job Description - Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Your responsibility will be to foster a safety-first environment and actively promote practices that prevent incidents. You'll also implement safety programs to minimize workplace accidents. You'll oversee the allocation of manpower within your assigned area, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and maintaining 5S+ standards while meeting or exceeding productivity expectations. Address safety concerns promptly and take corrective actions as needed. Report process and equipment problems promptly and collaborate with relevant personnel for assistance. As part of your role, you'll train, upgrade, and evaluate operators' skills. Providing ongoing coaching and development to enhance performance is essential, and regular reviews of operator performance are necessary. Maintain positive employee relations and adhere to labor contract provisions. When required, apply fair and judicious disciplinary measures. Keep accurate records of employee attendance, performance, and departmental activities. Upkeep employee timecards for accurate and prompt payroll. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing AND/OR operations environment Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing OR operations environment Minimum 1 year supervisory/management experience Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and implement change activities Working knowledge of current manufacturing, engineering, materials management and quality assurance methods and practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to coach and motivate employees Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships at all levels in the organization Experience in Lean Manufacturing and 5S Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and understanding
