Production Supervisor Essential Functions:

• Conducts pre-op start-up procedures to ensure cleanliness and readiness of ovens and fryers.
• Maintains and records correct temperatures and pressure as per product specifications.
• Completes oven/bake time worksheets and records moisture levels.
• Ensures products meet specification requirements.
• Addresses equipment issues or deviations from product specifications as instructed by Mixing Supervisor.
• Contacts Mixing Supervisor for persistent major problems with the line.
• Makes adjustments to the line per instructions from authorized manager or supervisor.
• Updates production records and forwards them to the production office.
• Assists Mixers and Depositors for breaks and meal periods as needed.
• Reports food safety and quality issues to Lead Packer, Supervisor, or Production Manager.
• Follows Food Safety Plan (FSP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
• Adheres to OSHA safety rules and food safety laws and regulations.

Production Supervisor Competencies:

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role.
• Experience using various manufacturing machinery and tools.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Organizational and leadership abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules.
• Effective communication in English as required for the position.

Production Supervisor Other Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Proficiency in following written and verbal instructions.
• Understanding of operations from mixing to baking to identify and address problems quickly.
• Knowledgeable in GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, sanitation practices, and Product Trace & Recovery in the food industry.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic.

Production Supervisor Education and Experience:

• Degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field preferred; OR
• High school diploma AND 2-4 years of relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment in a supervisory role.
