Position Description:
You will be the first-line leader to support team members within your area/zone.
You will coordinate day-to-day activities to maintain scheduled production requirements and ensure your team's success.
The hours for this position are 2:30 pm to 1:00 am, Monday-Thursday with the potential of overtime on Fridays.
Duties and Responsibilities
Creates an environment of continuous improvement

Desires to eliminate waste and to develop team member skills to improve lean operations.
Ensure that employees are properly trained by their Team Leader or other designated trainer in the areas of safety, quality, equipment operation,n and 5S
Interface with technical staff to ensure proper support
Establish annual goals and objectives that support the attainment of operating metrics
Work to improve processes and reduce inventories and work in progress continuously
Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding employee relations issues
Interface with Union Stewards in contract and discipline issues
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations is preferred.
Must Have 5 to 8 years of Manufacturing, Production, and Assembly line supervisory experience.
Must have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a medium/high volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience with mechanical and hydraulic press operations.
A basic understanding of die set-up and maintenance would be beneficial.
A basic understanding of process control, production scheduling, Kaizen, Kanban, and Lean manufacturing is preferred.
Previous Assembly line supervision experience would be preferred.
Must be self-driven and ambitious with proven leadership capabilities, including providing coaching, mentoring, and supervision within a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills, including encouraging team members to think proactively and create solutions.
Proven history of ability to lead with a servant leadership mindset.
Must be self-driven and ambitious with proven leadership capabilities, including providing coaching, mentoring, and supervision within a team environment.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Previous professional, internship,p, or co-op experience will be taken into consideration as relevant experience.
Physical Requirements
Position involves sitting for long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending, and minimal lifting.
