Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift - Room for Advancement

Prestige Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for a direct hire opportunity in Elkhart, Indiana. 

Position Summary
The Production Supervisor will play a key role in driving manufacturing operations, identifying, and implementing continuous improvement strategies, and facilitating the growth and development of team members. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of CNC machining processes, quality management principles, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and employee engagement.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Ensure the steady and efficient flow of production through the manufacturing areas with respect to the provided production schedule and on-time delivery standards.
• Supervise, teach, coach, and train all production personnel in the machining cells. Will be required to participate in performance evaluations, the onboarding process, and disciplinary situations.
• Identify and troubleshoot downtime issues as they arise to minimize downtime or other inefficiencies.
• Consult and collaborate with key players in other areas of the business to ensure the successful manufacturing of product demand.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure operator performance and production factors.
• Supervise, train, and ensure compliance of the quality management system (QMS) by all operators, coordinating guidance on quality-related matters.
• Conduct training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Implement measures to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
• Proficient communication in English through written and verbal methods.
• Ability to read, interpret, and train on use of micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dials.
• Mechanically and technically inclined.
• Proven experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in CNC machining.
• Familiarity with production scheduling and planning.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of ERP systems is helpful.
