Our client is seeking a Production Supervisor This role reports to the Operations Manager and supervises employees across multiple shifts. The ideal candidate will oversee production, ensure quality control, and manage repair and maintenance issues.
Key Responsibilities Production Supervisor:
Leadership:
Provide leadership to department employees on multiple shifts, assigning work schedules to ensure optimal production rates with minimal overtime.
Safety:
Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with corporate safety policies, OSHA, and other regulatory guidelines. Assist in training employees on safety procedures.
Maintenance Coordination:
Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor to address repair and maintenance needs. Determine necessary parts and lead times for efficient equipment functioning.
Quality Control:
Implement and maintain a quality control program, ensuring finished goods meet internal standards and customer specifications.
Production Monitoring:
Prepare and monitor daily production reports to improve throughput, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
Qualifications Production Supervisor:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
5-10 years of manufacturing/industrial work experience, with 2-5 years of managerial experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of manufacturing processes required. Maintenance background preferred.
Skills:
Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and managing production metrics.
Essential Functions:
Ensure safe work practices and compliance with safety regulations.
Lead and manage a team, assigning daily duties to equipment operators, pickers, and cleaners.
Coordinate with maintenance to schedule repairs and upgrades
Oversee processing and storage of finished goods, maintaining effective quality control.
Monitor and report on production metrics to enhance efficiency and profitability.
