Coating Supervisor

Location: Lake in the Hills, IL 

Compensation: $65,000-$80,000 annual

AFC is seeking an experienced and driven Coating Supervisor to lead our Coating department. This leadership role is responsible for the daily operations of the department, ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-performing team. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver and team builder with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily operations of the Coating Department with a strong focus on safety and efficiency
• Supervise and support Coaters across all shifts, ensuring productivity and quality standards
• Maintain production and safety metrics; oversee equipment performance and maintenance
• Develop and implement training programs for new and existing team members
• Manage inventory accuracy and production schedules to meet deadlines and priorities
• Foster a team-oriented, improvement-focused culture through coaching, communication, and involvement
• Hire, train, evaluate, and manage direct reports in collaboration with HR
• Coordinate workflow to optimize labor and reduce costs
• Support and enforce company policies and participate in budgeting and departmental planning
• Ensure accurate ERP system usage and lead structured team meetings (L-10)

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of production supervision experience preferred
• 3+ years of coating experience preferred
• High school degree or equivalent required
