Production Support Specialist

Job Description:

U-Haul is seeking a Production Support Specialist to focus on maintaining batch application processes, troubleshooting and taking corrective action system maintenance tasks and improvement tasks.

Schedule: 3pm-1am Sunday-Wednesday or 11pm-9am Wednesday-Saturday

Essential Duties:

Provide first level recovery

Scheduling job processes

Handle Job Control Language (JCL) errors, restarts, etc.

Responsible for the Multi-platform scheduling, Job Control Language (JCL), PROC’s and other batch resources

Be able to escalate issues that need more hands-on resolution, i.e. bad data, missing files, program abends, etc.

Perform dataset maintenance.

Multi-platform monitoring, Z/OS, Oracle and SAP

Tier 1 & Tier 2 user and job support

Respond to all requests within an hour

Be able to work nights and weekends

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

Expert knowledge of MS Outlook

Expert knowledge of MS Teams

Excellent Troubleshooting Skills

Excellent Critical Thinking Skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

Knowledge of BMC Control products

Knowledge of Mainframe

Knowledge of of JCL

Knowledge of TSO

Knowledge of SQL

Knowledge of Java

Knowledge of SAP

Knowledge of Agile Project Management

Knowledge of DevOps
