Production Support Specialist - Group 2A or 3A

This position is available with either of the following schedules:

• Group 2A (5:00 am - 3:00 pm, with Tuesday as the day off)
• Group 3A (5:00 am - 3:00 pm, with Wednesday as the day off)

Job Summary

Responsible for performing any job in the Batch Making, Production, Pressroom or Distribution areas to ensure the work schedule is met in a timely and accurate manner.

Essential Functions (Some or all of these functions may be required of the individual)

PRODUCTION

• Perform repetitive, assembly line operations to fill bottles, place bottles in cases and/or label cases.
• Work closely with other cell employees and assist when needed to ensure production schedule is met.
• Take samples to lab
• Train temporary employees
• Assist employees with troubleshooting machinery.
• Fill, label & palletize pails.
• Assemble & direct pack-out activities.
• Perform duties in Area 12 as assigned.

BATCHMAKING

• Support batch makers in mixing raw materials and filling work orders to specifications.
• Knowledge of either Wax or Cleaner area of batch making.

PRESS ROOM

• Support digital printing operation by maintaining and operating the digital printing presses and die cutting equipment.

DISTRIBUTION & M3

• Pick orders and load MISCO trucks, customer trucks and common carriers.
• Fill orders from picking ticket.
• M3 - Pick product in warehouse and assemble pallet from pick ticket.

MATERIAL HANDLING

• Monitor RiteSCAN and keep production cells supplied with necessary materials.

RECEIVING

• Unload incoming freight and place in designated area.
• Retrieve materials from M2 & M3 to ensure that all supplies needed for production schedule are accessible at M1.

SUPERVISORS' OFFICE

• Backup to Distributions Coordinator to process orders and print the Bill of Ladings, make adjustments, and check inventory. A point of contact for carrier drivers.
• Backup for Supervisor to maintain shift production pace, setting up cells, performing start-of-shift walkthroughs, and directing employees on daily duties.

Additional Responsibilities

• Emergency Responder duties.
• Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Experience with automated equipment preferred

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 55 lbs. on a regular basis (approximately 3 hours per day)

• Ability to lift and/or carry between 40 – 60 lbs. up stairs

• Manual dexterity to operate computer

• Walk up and down stairs on a regular basis (approximately 2 hours per day)

• Ability to bend repeatedly
