PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
The Creative Team seeks to advance and support the vision of Highland Park Presbyterian Church by inspiring our congregation and guests to take their next steps in their faith at HP Pres and informing them how to do so.
The Production Technician supports the Creative Team and the vision for Highland Park Presbyterian Church through technical excellence by minimizing technical disruptions through strong preparation, clear communication, and high-quality execution of events.

Guests experience thoughtfully prepared and well-supported services that allow them to engage meaningfully with HP Pres and feel inspired to take the next steps in their faith.
Staff at HP Pres are supported in their production needs, executing events and services, with a service-oriented spirit of collaboration and care.
Able to quickly solve problems as they arise in a live production setting.
Works with Production Director and Production Engineer to ensure consistent visual and audio quality across campus screens and livestream
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Production Director and Production Team throughout the week to ensure readiness for Sunday worship and other key events across spaces like the Sanctuary, Elliott Hall, Wynne Chapel, and classrooms.
Maintain and troubleshoot livestream platforms (Resi and OBS), Ross video switcher, PTZ cameras, and other video equipment to ensure dependable online services.
Provide real-time technical support during worship services, resolving issues quickly to ensure minimal technical disruptions.
Support live worship and ministry events as needed by stepping into hands-on production roles to ensure excellence (ex: graphics, PTZ camera operation, and live directing as needed).
Monitor and adjust PTZ camera shading and color balance for visual consistency.
Maintain video file backups and storage workflows.
Edit video content for Sunday services, memorial services, and events.
Bring a collaborative, grace-filled spirit to team and staff interactions, contributing to a healthy culture that reflects HP Pres values.
Engage with team communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, GeekBot), attend required meetings and events, communicate scheduling conflicts with team, and respond quickly to calendar invites.
Additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Experience: 3 years of experienced with production systems – video, audio, lighting, and livestreaming
Knowledge and Skills: ProPresenter, Livestream platforms (OBS and/or Resi), Planning Center, Ross Video Switcher, GrandMA Lighting Console, Microsoft Teams, Apple products, Adobe Premiere Pro,
Ability to maintain composure under pressure working conditions
Frequent lifting under 50 lbs. and standing for an hour
