Production Test Technician

Overview

Production Test Technician ensures that RF-based electronics products meet performance specifications; test products to meet shipment schedules; debug and repair of field returned products to the component level.

Job Functions

• Calibrates, tests and configures electronic products according to production procedures and sales orders
  Performs test operations from written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision


• Performs hardware debug of failed circuit boards; troubleshoot to component or board level


• Set up and operates a variety of automatic and semi-automatic test and / or repair equipment


• Ensure test yield and repair data is captured


• Provides feedback to management on any potential quality issue

Educational/Training Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology, or similar, or equivalent work experience


• Minimum 3 years related work experience


• Intermediate understanding and troubleshooting digital, analog and RF electronics


• Intermediate experience with conducting tests on electronic equipment and on software applications


• Intermediate experience in the use of test equipment such as power supplies, multi-meters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes


• Ability to read schematics, data sheets, assembly drawings, Bills of Materials and rework documents


• Strong organizational, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills 
  


• Experience working within an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System a plus


• Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite
  

Physical Requirements

• Regular use of keyboard


• Regular walking, standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time


• Frequently works in an area that may include drafts, noise, temperature variations etc.


• Able to lift/carry up to 30lb


• Minimal travel required
