Production Threader - 1st Shift

The Production Threader is responsible for keeping thread colors together in a neat and orderly fashion and stored in proper storage location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Have a very good understanding of the thread color locations by their I.D. numbers.
• Keep excess thread from falling on the floor to prevent a slipping hazard.
• Keep the thread area neat and organized at all times.
• Make sure that the colors and the numbers on the thread cones are correct before putting in the box.
• Sort complete boxes of 18 cones (4# each) on racks by color number.
• Additional cleaning duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Manufacturing experience.

• Ability to follow verbal directions.
• Ability to read instructions in English.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to perform quality control.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to move about the facility.
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, kneel and crouch.
• Ability to lift up to 5 pounds
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.

Vision Requirements

• Close and distance vision.
• Vision to be able to thread a needle.
• Color vision.

Work Environment

• Exposure to loud noise level.

• Safety Glasses (as needed).
