Safely install and remove molds from injection molding machines according to production schedules. This includes proper alignment and secure mounting of molds.
Set up machines with proper parameters, including temperature, pressure, and cycle time.
Inspect molds and machines for wear, damage, or defects and report issues to maintenance or tooling departments.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of mold storage and work areas.
Collaborate with process technicians and quality control to ensure product specifications are met.
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures during mold changes and machine setups.
Responsible for accurate and thorough documentation and data communication
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude and capable of learning injection molding processes.
Ability to read technical drawings, and setup sheets.
Familiarity with overhead cranes, forklifts, and other mold handling equipment.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift and move heavy molds (up to 50 lbs or more with assistance).
Standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
