Job Description
We seek a highly motivated and experienced candidate to join our Professional Services (PS) team. This candidate will direct and manage a team of application engineers, project managers (PMs), and professional services technical team members. The position will assist our sales team with professional service sales opportunities, work with project management for estimates, provide training and continuing education to the team, handle daily meetings, and manage schedules to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities
Manage a team of application engineers, PMs, and Professional Services Technical associates
Create and work with the team on training; review work and provide timely feedback
Create and maintain department standards; train others on such
Assist PMs with quotes and statements of works, assist PMs in assigning projects through Zoho Project, and work with PMs to evaluate and assess results of projects including closeout applications and documents
Provide support to sales for customer questions, demos, and technical support requests and assist with responding to RFIs as requested
Help define project scope, goals, and deliverables with estimating
Work with the team to manage budgets, resources, and project timelines
Help to resolve conflicts with Application Engineering and Projects
Implement and manage change orders when necessary to meet project outputs
Must be on-call occasionally after normal business hours to ensure company objectives are met
Conduct regular department meetings including employee goal meetings
Ensure team adaptation of Zoho Project and other Zoho applications as introduced
Review and approve team timesheets and expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies
Help with hiring of new team members
Experience/Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar field
At least 5 years of full-time experience in a Controls type of role - must include significant experience performing engineering and design of BAS (Building Automation Systems) and DDC (Direct Digital Controls) for HVAC (Heating Air-Conditioning Ventilation) systems
Minimum of 5 years of people management experience, including direct responsibility for all employment decisions, performance evaluations, and goals meetings
Knowledge and experience working with controls contractors and integrators
Ability to read project documents to assist project engineers with project take-off and quotes
Related experience and training; should include work in the field of HVAC and BAS controls, protocols BACnet, LON & MODbus preferred
Knowledge and experience with multiple BAS vendor product lines are a plus
