Professional Truck Driver 

       Responsibilities: 

• Operates vehicles to transport equipment  

• Supports the sales department with equipment delivery  

• Loads and transports equipment to and from customer locations  

• Instructs customers on basic equipment operating procedures  

• Loads and transports equipment between dealership locations  

• Picks equipment up from vendors as needed 

• Picks equipment up from the Deere factory as needed 

• Delivers bulk fluids to customers   

• Performs pre-trip inspections  

• Maintains, cleans and cares for trucks and trailers  

• Maintains activity records and obtains necessary signatures and receipts  

• Provides complete and thorough work order documentation   

• Accounts for all time and distance traveled in performing assigned duties  

• Maintains all required certifications in line with DOT and company policy    

Dealership Standards: 

• Ensures an organized, professional workspace and maintains vehicles, tools, devices, and equipment 

• Reports to work on time, manages time effectively, and works well independently and in groups 

• Upholds a professional personal appearance 

• Supports dealership customer service efforts and promotes all company departments 

• Follows safety regulations 

• Completes required training 

• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products 

Experience, Skills and Knowledge: 

• One or more years’ trucking experience  

• Experience with legal, safe methods of loading and hauling wide and/or heavy loads preferred  

• Experience with basic computer functions  

• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmissions 

• Able to lift, bend, and carry  

• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record 
   

• CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) 
   

• DOT Health Card or ability to get one

Haug Implement Co. provides an estimated base pay range. The actual starting pay offer will account for our overall wage and benefit package, applicant experience, training, skill, and internal equity among our existing employees. This is an hourly position with a potential hiring offer range of $22.00-30.00 per hour, based on the factors listed above.
