Program design, coordination/management, execution, and assessment for programs intended to bolster diversity on campus and highlight Asian and Asian American cultures. This position is responsible for coordinating and preparing marketing, media publications and promotion of all Center initiatives and programming. This position works closely with the Director to help facilitate relationships with internal and external agencies that promote diversity efforts. The Program Administrator also works closely with the Director to develop leadership opportunities for individual students and student organizations (e.g. leadership trainings, retreats with students, coordinating presentations or experiential learning activities to teach students about the responsibilities of leadership). The Program Administrator participates in fundraising/development efforts as needed and takes part in institutional research and assessment regarding Asian/Asian American students and communities. The Program Administrator will prepare presentations and tours for classes, outreach programs, resource fairs and other events as needed. This position may functionally supervise up to three student employees.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Social/Behavioral Sciences, Liberal Arts, Business/Management, Ethnic, International or related field Two or more years of experience in program/event planning, marketing, media publication, promotion, execution, and assessment Strong oral and written communication and leadership skills Talent to work well with diverse individuals and groups along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions Ability to plan strategically Ability to travel periodically for programming needs Occasional evening and weekend programming
