Job Description
The function and purpose of this position are to provide leadership and direction in the development of regulations, rules,
procedures, standards, and policies as they relate to education for preschool children with disabilities or developmental
delays and support for their families. A primary responsibility is the management of federal funding, reporting, and technical
ssistance for early childhood special education programs and services. This position acts as the IDEA Part B/Section 619
Coordinator and state contact liaison to USED/OSEP for federal early childhood indicators 6, 7, and 12 of IDEA. This
position coordinates programs for children ages three through five with identified delays and/or disabilities with local school
districts and other agencies on program development, implementation, and evaluation.
