Summary
The Program Coordinator is the lead non-certified teacher in a classroom and is responsible for lesson planning, assessments, parent communication, and the supervision of 2 - 4 other staff members.
Duties
This position is aCommunity Education Preschool Program Coordinatorworking in amulti-aged classroomwith 3 - 5 year olds (not yet in
kindergarten).Duties
include: developing age appropriate lesson plans based upon the Arizona Early Learning Standards, inventorying and ordering materials and supplies, developing and scheduling daily children's activities, communicating information to parents through memos and newsletters, supervising and evaluating Club Leaders and Instructional Assistants.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years’ experience in a childcare setting or, based upon assignment, completion of specific coursework related to childcare or experience working in a licensed childcare program is required; or 2 years of specialized experience related to the area of assignment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
