Reporting to the Director of the SNHU Center for New Americans and working in collaboration with the Amiko youth program team, the Program Coordinator ensures the smooth operation of the Amiko Youth Program by providing daily program support, volunteer coordination, and resource management. Joining a passionate, dedicated team, you will play an important part in creating a welcoming, organized, and engaging environment for youth, families, and volunteers. This is an onsite position and works in deep collaboration with staff, volunteers, and community partners to fulfill our TREE values (Teamwork, Respect, Equity, and Empowerment). #LI-Onsite

Schedule:

  • Manage all supply purchases and inventory in collaboration with the Center team, including managing the Community Closet.
  • Develop vendor relationships according to program needs, ensuring cost efficiency in procurement.
  • Create organizational systems for program supplies and donations, keeping storage spaces thoughtfully structured and accessible.
  • Check program mailboxes and distribute mail and packages.
  • Oversee space use coordination for internal and external programming and maintain a shared space use calendar to avoid scheduling conflicts.
  • Take active ownership of maintaining accurate participant information in Procare, ensuring all required participant forms are uploaded and verified.
  • Manage and conduct periodic audits of the Procare participant information system.
  • Support the Amiko Youth Program team with parent and family engagement activities, including WhatsApp communications, and family shopping days.
  • Capture and organize program photos for Procare, social media, and internal documentation, while ensuring youth photo waiver procedures are followed.
  • Support department initiatives and special projects, which may include creating and posting social media content and monitoring engagement across platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and Meta Business Suite.
  • Support scheduling and note taking for weekly Amiko Youth Program team meetings.
  • Participate as a strategic partner in the creation and revision of Amiko Youth programming to support continuous improvement and responsiveness to community needs.
  • Attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential functions of this role
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

What we're looking for:

  • 2+ years of experience working with youth in an afterschool, daycare, or educational setting
  • Flexibility in adjusting to a changing schedule ( Monday-Fridays 9am-5pm EST during public school vacation, and summer breaks)
  • Must have reliable transportation

We believe real innovation comes from inclusion - where different experiences, perspectives and talents are celebrated. So if you're wondering whether SNHU is right for you, take the leap and apply. You might be just the person we're looking for.
