Job Description - Program Coordinator, St. Jude Global Nursing Program

The Program Coordinator - St. Jude Global Programs assists in designing, implementing, and overseeing projects and initiatives within and for the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) and St. Jude Global (SJG). Responsible for researching, documenting, and disseminating information as needed. Under the supervision of the GPM director or manager and as assigned, serves as a section and/or project team lead. Acts as a liaison with other members of GPM and SJG and its collaborators, to ensure coordination and success of departmental, regional, and/or global initiatives and departmental requirements.

Job Summary
The Global Nursing Program Coordinator assists in designing, implementing, and overseeing projects and initiatives within and for the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) and St. Jude Global (SJG). Responsible for researching, documenting, and disseminating information as needed. Under the supervision of the Global Nursing director serves as a section and/or project team lead. Acts as a liaison with other members of GPM and SJG and its collaborators, to ensure coordination and success of departmental, regional, and/or global initiatives and departmental requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Manage complex global health quality improvement programs across Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC).

Coordinate communication between stakeholders in LMIC networks of hospitals and training centers.

Provide technical advice for implementing quality improvement projects in diverse geographical and resource settings.

Provide operational oversight for initiatives in the overall program.

Understand global health determinants as enablers and barriers to sustaining quality improvement projects across LMICs.

Apply complex science of implementation concepts to program initiatives.

Design and adapt training material according to LMIC needs.

Adapt training material to train international networks of essential healthcare workers for implementing quality improvement programs.

Foster work relationships to ensure program sustainability and scalability across countries.

Act as a liaison with St. Jude Global and collaborators across countries, facilitating bilingual discussions.

Assist in implementing and overseeing projects, conducting organizational studies, risk assessments, and development plans.

Identify clinical research trial development study sites and draft respective case reports.

Ensure adherence to clinical trial and quality improvement initiatives, data collection methods, and reporting procedures.

Design systems and procedures for monitoring and evaluating processes, project outcomes, and project data and records.

Ensure compliance with country-specific regulatory requirements, institutional policies, and legal requirements.

Prepare auditing reports for collaborations and initiatives to support strategic decision-making.

Maintain relevant data and project records for all activities, ensuring alignment with overarching goals and compliance with institutional policies.

Develop figures and data visualization tools for stakeholders, including cost tracking, budget allocations, and auditing reports.

Oversee education, capacity building, patient-centered care, and research in LMICs.

Implement and manage projects involving research/quality improvement, capacity building, and education/training.

Utilize healthcare and LMIC experience to serve as a liaison between St. Jude and collaborators in various LMICs.

Coordinate with partner sites to ensure accurate hospital data and identify collaborative opportunities.

Develop and review legal agreements for program-specific and project-specific initiatives.

Minimum Education and/or Training
Bachelor’s degree in related field is required
Master’s degree is preferred
Minimum Experience
Three (3) years of experience and expertise in complex project management

Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required

Fluency in a second language required

Experience working in international settings required

Knowledge of project management methodologies required

Supervisory and/or team coordination experience required

Clinical and/or healthcare background is preferred

Clinical research and/or implementation science experience is a plus

Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
