A Brief Overview Provide research administrative support for The Center for Childhood Cancer Research (CCCR) investigators. In conjunction with Principal Investigators, their teams, and the sponsored projects central office, assist in the preparation of grant applications and submission of progress reports. Assist in the generation, collection, and maintenance of grant related documents for investigators. This role coordinates complex research activities and provides advanced support.
This role administers program(s) and provides oversight and support to program staff in coordinating program services.
What you will do
Provide grant support for CCCR Investigators Serve as delegate for investigators in both internal and external systems to aid in the creation, population, review, and submission of grant applications. Prepare and submit progress reports for investigators as needed. Serve as an administrative contact person with external grant administrators Identify and disseminate potential funding sources and maintain a list of current funding opportunities for CCCR members in the form of weekly funding newsletters Help acclimate new postdocs and fellows to CHOP grant submission policies and grant application process Collect documents for internal grant competitions Maintain and update biosketches and Other Support documents for PIs Provide support for ACC and Dept of Pediatrics T32 and K12 Training Grants Coordinate competitive renewal applications and annual progress report submissions Coordinate trainee applications and review each year Monitor trainee appointments and financials in coordination with the ACC and Research Business Office Maintain all trainee tables Track and ensure compliance with acknowledgement of grant support in trainee publications and deposit publications in pubmed central/NCBI/mybibliography Assure and track trainee and T32/K12 faculty compliance with education and training requirements Coordinate the yearly ACC K12/T32 Research Day Coordinate the yearly ACC T32 Orientation for new Trainees Other duties as assigned

Oversee day-to-day operations and work product Monitor and coordinate program operations, resources and projects including develop project plans and facilitate the resolution of issues. Enact policies and procedures, and maintain related documentation and databases. Collaborate across teams and serve as the primary liaison for the program. Oversee and participate in team, project and program meetings. Manage and maintain operating budget, supplies and resources. Maintain program metrics and related tools and regularly reports results. Monitor and support related finance, accounting and billing functions. Coordinate information collection, compilation and dissemination as required. Provide advanced administrative support as needed. Perform other duties and projects as required. Education Qualifications High School Diploma / GED Required Bachelor's Degree Preferred Experience Qualifications At least one (1) year of administration, coordination or program experience Required At least three (3) years of administration, coordination or program experience Preferred At least one (1) year of experience in a healthcare related environment Preferred At least one (1) year of leadership, management, or supervisory experience Preferred Skills and Abilities Intermediate proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent verbal and written communications skills Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills Excellent time management skills Strong project management skills Strong conflict resolution skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels Ability to influence others to accomplish tasks outside of the direct span of control
