Summary of Role
Program Developers at foundry10 execute essential exploratory and evaluative education fieldwork for foundry10.
A foundry10 Program Developer is ultimately responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating educational programming and resources for foundry10. This role specifically will be furthering our educational programming work on the Technology, Media, and Information Literacy (TMIL) Team to support our Healthy & Responsible Digital Habits Focus Area. Programmatic work in this focus area aims to support youth and educators in developing the skills to become critical navigators of digital media and information sources.
As the Media Literacy Program Developer on TMIL, you will create and implement programs that address youth digital media and information literacy with general and emerging technologies (i.e, social media, generative AI tools, and gaming platforms). You will also develop programs and professional development for educators (i.e., classroom teachers, K-12 library and media specialists, school counselors, and school administrators) that help them integrate digital media lessons into their practice.
As such, this role requires expertise in information and digital media literacy research, digital citizenship curriculum development, and an understanding of youth experiences across various current and emerging digital platforms.
foundry10 Program Developers are expected to cultivate partnerships and engage in ongoing professional development in order to ground their work in evidence-based best practices and relevant research. They utilize this continuous learning to identify gaps and needs in their respective fields and identify opportunities for further program development, evaluation, iteration, and expansion.
Program Developers also work closely with foundry10's Research, and Philanthropy pillars, as well as our Communications Team, to pursue critical questions and further study, initiate responsive giving of resources and funds, and engage in impactful storytelling.
This is a full-time, exempt position with an annual salary range of $70,000-112,625, depending on experience and technical requirements for the role. This position reports to the Education Program Manager.

This is a hybrid, not a remote, position. Candidates must live and be able to work in-person in the greater Seattle, Washington area as needed. We cannot sponsor visa applications, and to be considered for this position, you must be eligible to work in the United States.
