Program Director

Description

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson is currently seeking a full-time Program Director. The Program Director will perform a range of duties that support youth development and will report directly to the Club Director.

 Duties and Responsibilities   

•  Provide balanced activities and programming linked to Boys & Girls Clubs core Youth Development Outcome. 
• Ensure the coordination and prioritization of the schedule and commitments for dedicated programs.
• Develop and implement activities and programs that support the Club’s priority outcomes, including: Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. 
• Manage budgets and controlling expenses as assigned. 
• Provides supervision and leadership to area/program staff and volunteers.
• Creates and maintains a safe environment for all Club members. 
• Monitors and evaluates situations quickly, using good judgment to make decisions and take appropriate action. 
• Effectively communicates with parents/caregivers, community partners, and other stakeholders.  
• Responsible for Clubhouse daily operations in absence of Clubhouse Director.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in education, sociology, child and family studies, or other related field.
• At least (1) one year of experience in the development and implementation of education, leadership programs and activities for youth in a Boys & Girls Club, camp and/or other youth focused setting. 
• Minimum of (1) one year of supervisory experience.
• Must meet the requirements to drive for the organization including being at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license with a minimum (3) three years of verifiable driving history. 
• Must be capable of obtaining CPR and First Aid Certification (training provided).

Physical Demands:

This position requires physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Candidates should be prepared for the physical nature of the job.
