Program Director - Before/After School

What are the hours like?

• Our centers are open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Before and After School Programs run 6 AM – 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM – 6 PM.
• Full-time employees also work at child care locations or our administrative office between those hours on certain days.

What are the duties and responsibilities?

General Administrative Functions

• Track parent payments and maintain contact with Business Manager and Accounts Receivable Specialist regarding payment history and account balances
• Enroll new families and maintain updated files on children
• Provide families with information and assistance with community resources
• Work with Chief Finance Officer to meet center budget
• Attend Directors' Meetings regularly to stay updated
• Participate fully to any fundraising activities given to the center
• Other duties as assigned by the Child Care Program Manager, Director of Early Learning and/or Chief Executive Officer

What are the required qualifications?

• Minimum of an Associate degree in a human service related field.
• Previous experience with children, and this does not have to be in a childcare center! Are you a parent? Have you volunteered with children before? Are you a former or retired teacher? All of these are examples of some of the many ways our staff have experience with children.
• Willingness to go through (and pass!) the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: four clearances, mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. The children grow!
• Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods of time, as these happen throughout the eight-hour day.
