Products include spacecraft panels, bus structures, precision optical structures, deployable structural systems and mechanisms, solar arrays, and antenna reflectors. Our products are on virtually every U.S. satellite built in the last 20 years.\n\nOverview\n\nThe primary objective will be the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to support value creation strategies and actions. The individual will lead a cross-functional organization aligned to common program performance goals. The Program Manager will be responsible for leading all phases of the program life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, and completion (contract closeout). \n\nRole and Responsibilities:\n\n * Cultivate customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer community\n\n * Develop new business opportunities through long term strategic planning, capture planning, and development of proposals and business plans\n\n * Establish a program organization that effectively addresses customer requirements and incorporates the necessary internal and external sub-organizations\n\n * Lead and direct cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives\n\n * Measure and report program performance\n\n * Deliver presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders \n\n * Participate in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions.\n\n * Establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.\n\n * Create, review and finalize the program Statement of Work\n\n * Identify, distribute, track, and complete program requirements\n\n * Establish and manage the program and subordinate baselines\n\n * Develop and adhere to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost \u0026 schedule control methodologies and tools\n\n * Identify, allocate and manage program resources, to include workforce planning \n\n * Manage Government/customer supplied property or information (GFE, CFE, etc.) \n\n * Manage suppliers to meet program objectives.\n\n * Adhere to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards \n\n * Ensure the program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manage change through control board activities \n\n * Develop and adhere to master plans and schedules\n\n * Conduct thorough risk and opportunity management practices to include identification, mitigation and realization\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree and 10 years\u2019 experience supporting customers in a project/technical lead role\n\n * Minimum 4+ years of experience in program management\n\n * Experience managing an EAC on programs greater than $1M in value, Cost Account Manager for a similar size effort also applicable\n\n * Proven analytical, technical, strategic and problem-solving skills\n\n * Strong organization skills in both independent and team environments\n\n * Experience in design for manufacturing and transition to production programs\n\n * Gated design development experience (PDR, CDR)\n\n * Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills\n\n * Executive level communication skills\n\n * US Citizenship is required\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Familiarity with Space Deployable Structures and Mechanisms\n\n * Experience in both Engineering and Project Management, or IPT roles\n\n * Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering experience\n\n * Proposal Management and/or Business Development experience\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $161,100.00 - $241,700.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
