As program manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of diverse experts in the successful delivery of complex projects, from inception through final close-out, including the development and implementation of processes, procedures, strategy, execution plans, resource planning, risk management, and reporting tools.
· Lead a large diverse team including project management, project controls, system integration, owner’s engineering, real estate acquisition, permitting, environmental compliance, construction management, and testing and commissioning personnel.
· Drive systems integration and the implementation of data collection, data management, data analytics and reporting tools to drive efficiency in reporting to enable strategic decisions regarding program budgets and schedule risks.
· Other responsibilities include:
· Engaging in professional interactions with clients, outside vendors, other Burns & McDonnell offices and program teams and develop relationships with client’s key individuals.
· Office management, recruitment, client maintenance, contract negotiations, change management, financial performance, executive management reporting, and coordination with human resources, accounting, legal, and fleet services.
· Support strategies for cross-selling services across the organization.
· Extensive travel and/or temporary or permanent relocation may be required.
*Requirements:*
· Bachelor's Degree in engineering, construction management, business or related degree from an accredited program and 10 years related consulting experience, preferably in the engineering or construction industry required.
· Experience leading a multi-discipline team that has executed and managed major projects or programs greater than $250 million preferred.
· Strong experience in client and business development.
· Project Management Professional Certification (PMP), Program Management Professional Certification (PgMP), or related is a plus.
· Expert experience in managing projects, which includes client relations, proposal development, contract negotiations, project planning, project controls, risk management, and change management.
· Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
· Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
· Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
