Summary:
A Tiger Team is a small, elite task force for when you need to act fast and solve business- critical issues or complex problems that often involve work across traditional departments. The team needs to have the freedom to think creatively and make decisions quickly so they can drive projects to completion on time and on budget even though the work will involve numerous people beyond the Tiger Team staff. As such, the team must have exceptional project management skills, attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively, as well as a knack for uncovering- and ultimately resolving - challenges in the implementation process.
The Highland Tiger Team (currently consisting of a Program Manager and Director) sit within the Market Development department and are tasked with driving cross departmental initiatives that typically fall outside the scope of traditional Highland project development. The Tiger Team staff are responsible for organizing members of other departments, as necessary, to execute on a specific project. Some examples of the types of projects the Tiger Team manages includes: activities required by grant agreements, partnerships with companies or other organizations,
and certain types of R&D that require the work of multiple Highland teams.
Job Description:
The Program Manager role requires someone who can immediately take charge of managing the day-to-day implementation of incentive projects to ensure alignment and rapid progress. The Program Manager also helps to oversee a high-profile group of superintendents to advise on strategic Highland activities, identify and solve district pain points, as well as provide soft introductions to school district leadership. Other projects will be added to the Program Manager’s portfolio as the needs of the business evolve.
The Program Manager is a critical internal project management role that will support the daily facilitation of a cross functional task force created to expedite and improve Highland’s overall performance.
$110,000 - $125,000 a year
