About the Role:
The function of this position is to support the Cyber, Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and Autonomy group with development and application of system security engineering and program protection for major defense acquisition programs across the US market. This is an engineering position to broadly execute guidance from platform Chief Engineer, Systems Engineering Manager, and functional management.
Hybrid/Onsite: Due to the nature of the work, this role may require on-site presence up to 100%
Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role:
  • Support the development and application of system security engineering, and program protection for major defense acquisition programs
  • Work with major defense acquisition programs to develop Program Protection Implementation Plans (PPIP), and advise customers throughout the larger PPIP development process
  • Support program protection activities by working with program office Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to assess program security risks, and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Work with a team of subject matter experts in software and hardware assurance, cybersecurity and supply chain risk management to address security risks for advanced capabilities and systems
  • Analyze critical program information, critical mission functions and critical components to ensure protection for state-of-the-art technologies
  • Exercise authority and responsibility for C5ISR products and tasks to help integrate cross-functional technical scope within schedule and other constraints. Help project team to ensure a balanced, integrated, and compliant and C5ISR design across the vehicle system.
  • Manage/support the identification, development and implementation of platform cyber-physical design best practices, tools and education across the entire engineering enterprise. This will be done with a cross functional team of engineering and program disciplines and form the basis for developing a cyber security culture within the engineering organization.
  • Manage and coordinate requirements, architectures and system designs and any changes, conditions, inputs and final resolution for requirements, trades, and alternatives.
  • Participate in and lead design and integration troubleshooting/Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and problem report/test incident resolution for production, development, test, or modification projects.
  • Develop and evaluate checkpoint and design milestone artifacts and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) and review to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Coordinate with platform Design Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) where interface is required, such as in threat analysis, interface development and requirements decomposition and compliance.
  • Manage and participate in peer reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned.
          Minium Qualifications / What you must have
          Position Requirements (candidates will be considered on the aggregate of the position requirements, it is not required that candidates possess experience in all categories):
          • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, related science or equivalent, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering desired (Relevant cyber technical certificates will be considered)
          • Minimum of 5+ years' experience
          • Experience with engineering and/or military projects
          • Experience with teams in technical development projects
          • Experience with military vehicle development and integration
          • Experience in interpreting higher level customer requirements and flowing them down to technology areas
          • Experience in developing and managing system level requirements
          • Familiarity with various electrical line replaceable units and the development and troubleshooting of electronic hardware
          • Experience with cyber warfare, offensive and/or defensive
          • Experience with Program Protection Planning, and/or developing PPIPs and participating in Program Protection Working Groups
          • Experience with embedded systems, automotive and military related
          • Experience with software and computer science principles
          • Familiarity with cyber physical system security requirements
          • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
          • Ability to travel (mostly domestic, some international) up to 15%
          Additional Information / Desired Experience
          This position will require the candidate to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
          This position will require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles is desired. Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space)
          • Be a self-starter and working in a fast-paced environment.
          • The candidate will need to have strong written and oral communication skills and able to work with all levels of the organization and across functions.
          • Organization will be essential due the volume of tasks and projects and being able to align with tight deadlines and lead times.
          • Work environment will consist of prototype shop, laboratory, manufacturing, and office.
          • Able to work overtime when required
          • Able to bring continuous improvement processes and methodologies to the position. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills is required. Works well in team and individually.
          • Candidate must have excellent communication skills.
