Program Scheduler

About the Role

We’re working with a leading defense contractor supporting national security and mission-critical innovation across aerospace, homeland security, and commercial aviation. This team is seeking a Senior Program Scheduler to manage high-complexity Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and drive Earned Value Management (EVM) across multiple concurrent programs.

You’ll play a vital role in program performance, accountability, and forecasting, working cross-functionally with program managers, IPTs, and senior leadership. If you enjoy being at the center of complex, fast-paced technical programs with full scheduling ownership, this one’s for you.

What You’ll Do

• Create and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and Master Plans (IMP) aligned with customer requirements.

• Contribute to program success from proposal stage through delivery, including Performance Management Baseline (PMB) and Integrated Baseline Review (IBR)

• Serve as a planning SME for program managers and control account managers across the organization.

• Conduct regular status reviews, EACs, critical path analyses, and schedule health checks.

• Mentor junior schedulers and support the continuous improvement of tools and methodology

• Interface with cross-functional teams and generate reports used for program health, EVMS metrics, and contract deliverables

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Software, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 6–9+ years of program scheduling experience in defense/aerospace environments

• Deep expertise with Microsoft Project and EVMS tools (COBRA, Open Plan, etc.)

• Strong knowledge of government accounting rules, defense contractor cost principles, and DCMA standards

• Ability to lead EACs, run critical path analyses, and influence corrective actions.

• Familiarity with WBS structures, control accounts, planning packages, and contractual scheduling deliverables

• US Person status required (must be eligible to work on defense contracts)
