We are actively seeking a Program Services Specialist to support program operations, regulatory compliance, and organizational development efforts across BuildAbility's service lines. Working closely with the Associate Executive Director and Program Leadership, you will play a key-cross functional role in connecting program operations with strategic growth initiatives and external engagement.

As the Program Services Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
Program Compliance & Strategy
Support all service lines in maintaining compliance with CARF, CCL, HCBS, DDS, and Regional Center regulations.
Monitor regulatory updates and communicate implications to program leadership and staff and assist with preparation and documentation for regulatory reviews, audits and accreditation.
Analyze program operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and service delivery.
Maintain an updated knowledge of daily operations in each program .
Assist with drafting, proofreading, editing, and producing support materials for all programs. Completes required documentation, reports, and forms to ensure program compliance.
Participate in industry meetings, trainings, and vendor community events to stay informed of regulatory changes and sector trends.
Assist with planning, coordination, and tracking of cross-department projects; maintain organized systems for tracking program initiatives, deliverables, and deadlines.
Fundraising Support, Outreach & Communications
Research grant opportunities aligned with organizational priorities and program growth
Assist with grant proposal development, writing, and submission preparation. Support grant reporting and documentation requirements.
Assist with donor engagement efforts, including updates, communications, and relationship tracking.
Assist in planning and coordinating events, fundraisers, and outreach initiatives.
Support the development of external communications including newsletters, donor updates, and social media content.
Gather program stories, participant highlights, and updates to support marketing and communications efforts.
Help coordinate participation in community partnerships, vendor fairs, and networking events.

Compensation:
Starting at $26.00 - $29.00/hour (depending on prior experience and qualifications)

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or comparable experience.
Minimum three years’ experience serving people with developmental/intellectual disabilities.
Minimum two years of experience in nonprofit programs, project coordination, program operations, or administrative support roles.
1–2 years of experience in event coordination, communications, development support, or administrative roles.
ACRE Certification and completed Person Centered Thinking Training (or obtain within 60-days of hire).
Must have current CPR/First Aid Certificate (or obtain within 60-days of hire).
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Must pass a DOJ Live Scan fingerprinting background clearance.
Valid California Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
Key Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple timelines.
Positive, collaborative attitude and ability to work with various departments and stakeholders.
Working knowledge of Title 17, Title 22, Lanterman Act, CCL licensing requirements, and HCBS regulations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive client and/or staff information/circumstances.
Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) and content management tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and willingness to learn new tools (e.g., DonorBox, Asana, Instrumentl).
