Summary:

The Program Support Director (PSD) provides oversight for assigned Residential Coordinators, and oversees the development, management and administration of person-centered supports provided to participants in their cluster homes. One of the primary roles for the PSD is to convene and facilitate the interdisciplinary teams that work together to maximize the opportunities for participants’ personal growth and community participation.

Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding new Residential Coordinators.
Provides oversight to Residential Coordinators to ensure they are working efficiently with Human Resources to interview, hire, on-board, and ensure proper training for Residential

Counselors/Assistant

Residential Directors
In conjunction with the Director of Residential Supports/ Asst Dir and Human Resources, provide guidance to Residential Coordinators in addressing employee relations issues, performance management, professional development and staff recognition efforts.
Conducts and/or arranges in service training for staff and managers as required.
Supervision :
Conduct routine, documented supervision meetings with assigned Residential Coordinators.
Provide support to assigned Coordinator with planning, delegating, and directing work responsibilities and response to urgent/emergent issues
Conduct performance appraisals, address complaints, resolve issues, and plan for on-going professional development for direct reports
Participate in supervision with Assistant/Director of Residential Services.
In collaboration with the Director and Assistant Director of Residential Supports, conducts Quarterly Performance reviews of assigned Residential Coordinators.
Facilitates Cluster Meetings with Assigned Coordinators twice a month
Participates in agenda development and facilitation of bimonthly Residential Coordinator Meetings.
Quality Assurance
The PSD provides oversight, training, and quality assurance monitoring to ensure program compliance with MAB and State Agency Policies and Procedures.
Collaborates with the Administrative, Clinical/Nursing, Human Resources, and Residential Management Teams to develop, maintain, or update policies, procedures, training materials, and communications
Ensures Program Evacuation Plans are current and updated as required
Collaborates with the Administrative, Clinical/Nursing, Human Resources, and Residential Management Teams to develop, maintain, or update policies, procedures, training materials, and communications
In conjunction with QA, Nursing, Clinical, and Facilities Management teams, the PSD conducts administrative, MAP, and environmental program audits as assigned and provides supervision to Residential Coordinators to ensure compliance and follow up within established time frames
Ensures all incident reports are filed and reviewed within established time frames. Provides guidance around appropriate and timely response to incidents.
Administration, Program Management, and Person Centered Planning
Facilitates interdisciplinary team collaboration for

referral/intake/discharge

planning Engage in crisis intervention and provide on-call backup support as assigned. Coordinate program responses to emergencies.
Monitors ISP documentation, house meeting notes, activity logs, and survey feedback data for their assigned programs to ensure residential teams are supporting the participants to make choices, connect to the community, and pursue their goals
Provides documented feedback to Residential Coordinators and their teams around the quality of opportunities for engagement, choice, activities, and skills development
Participates in Case Reviews, Individual Support Plan meetings, and other participant focused meetings as appropriate
Reviews payroll for accuracy prior to submission
Monitors program schedules to ensure Residential Coordinators are staffing to budget
Act as liaison to internal and external stakeholders: families, guardians, participants, staff, administration, human resources, clinical day programs, and state agency staff.
Represents the organization professionally and builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least one year supervisory experience required.
Strong critical thinking and written communication skills including the ability to read and interpret documents such as DDS regulations, ISPs, client records, logs, policy and procedure manuals, safety rules, memos and operating and maintenance instructions; ability to clearly and accurately write policies, reports, procedure manuals, performance evaluations, and business correspondence.
Ability to communicate and plan effectively with participants and their families, co-workers and outside professionals, including in crisis situations.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide effective leadership, motivate managers and employees, and help staff in effective decision making skills in ambiguous situations.
Ability to define and solve problems in a variety of ways using sound judgment in crisis situations and in situations where limited or no guidelines exists. Ability to respond appropriately to various crises, incidents, grievances, and complaints.
Comfort with computers and ability to learn new reporting software.
Valid MA driver’s license and ability to drive program vehicles and wheelchair vans to transport participants to appointments, day programs, recreational activities, etc. Must be able to drive for extended periods of time and on highways as needed.
MAB will assist employee with obtaining required MAP Certification, CPR and First Aid certificates if applicant does not have them when hired.
