Job Description - Programmer Analyst III (Network/Systems)
Description
The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies.
We are seeking an experienced Programmer–Analyst III (Network/Systems) to support the BuildLACCD Program Management Office and its nine campus project sites. This hands-on role focuses on network and systems administration, infrastructure security, troubleshooting, and technical support.
Key responsibilities:
Configure, manage, and support physical and virtual network environments, including servers, operating systems, hosts, and storage.
Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade network and server software and equipment.
Manage and troubleshoot firewalls, Wi-Fi access points, switches, VPNs, and other network devices.
Monitor network and system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, network routing, cabling, and switching.
Maintain network security, firewalls, access rights, and disaster recovery procedures.
Perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for network and system issues.
Support cybersecurity activities, including vulnerability assessment and response to security threats.
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support and assist with helpdesk functions.
Support Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and related enterprise applications.
Support virtualized and cloud environments, including VMware and Hyper-V.
Develop technical documentation, procedures, and SOPs.
Use PowerShell scripting and automation to streamline administrative processes.
Work collaboratively with network engineers, vendors, administrators, and other project stakeholders.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of applicable systems and network administration experience.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science or a related field.
Education substitution: An additional four years of qualifying experience beyond the 7-year minimum may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts in user-friendly, non-technical language.
Working knowledge of Windows/Windows Server and network protocols such as DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS, and SFTP.
Experience with enterprise network, systems, security, and virtualization technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience providing IT support for a large construction bond program.
Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or Cisco CCNP Enterprise.
Technical Environment
Experience with several of the following technologies is highly desirable:
