Job Description - Programming Engagement Associate

Beverly's Programming Engagement Associate  




We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Programming Engagement Associate to join our team. This role focuses on engaging with families and our agency/community partners to strengthen relationships and foster a sense of belonging. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of community dynamics, and a commitment to supporting families and community partners through various initiatives. 




This position will report directly to our Senior Director of Programming. 




Location: This is an in-person role at our office headquarters: 11065 Parker Drive North Huntingdon, PA 15642. Standard hours are Monday-Friday (8:30-4:30)  This role requires you to work at a minimum of four parties a month and occasional evening/weekend commitments pertaining to additional programming needs. 





Compensation:
$40,000

Education:
While an associate or bachelor's degree is preferred, we also welcome a combination of relevant education and experience. Candidates with job-related education or certifications will be given preference. Experience in child development, case management, and working with populations facing health disparities is highly desirable. 





Preferred Qualifications:
 




- Associates or  Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, community development, education, or a related field. 




- 1-2 years of experience in community programming within a social services setting. 




- Experience working with families and communities, especially in non-profit or program environments. 




- Knowledge of community resources and services related to Social Determinants of Health, with a focus on underserved populations. 




- Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools (Canva, Hootsuite, etc.)  




- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust among diverse populations, emphasizing cultural humility and sensitivity. 




- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. 




- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective time management and organizational abilities. 




- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with social media platforms. 




- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed for events. 




- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (the candidate will drive Beverly's vehicles when necessary). 




- Ability to obtain all required clearances (PA State Police, FBI Fingerprinting, Child Abuse). 




- High energy level with a strong sense of initiative, enthusiasm, diplomacy, professionalism, transparency, accountability, flexibility, and discretion. 




- A commitment to and passion for the organization's mission. 




- A desire to learn and immerse themselves in their professional development journey within the organization  




- Ability to authentically represent the brand and a genuine desire to help celebrate and strengthen families in Southwestern PA. 




- Strong attention to detail. 




- Capability to lift 50 lbs, and to sort, stoop, and stand for extended periods. 




 




Position Overview 




This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Programming and operates across all programming divisions within the organization, including Birthdays, Babies, and Basic Care. 




Program Development: Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of family and community engagement programs that cater to the needs of our diverse population. 




- Attend Beverly's Babies Free Community Baby Showers. 




- Attend at least one Beverly's group birthday celebration (evening) each week, serving as the lead celebration facilitator and resource connector. 




- Attend Babies in the Burgh mobile stops. 




- Assist the team with inventory management, program orders, and product needs. 




- Support the three divisions of Beverly’s PGH—Birthdays, Babies, and Basics—in fulfilling their programming needs. This includes creating birthday gifts, fulfilling Year of Cheer boxes, and assisting with basic requests when necessary. 




- Support the Senior Director of Programming in the development of new programs as the organization expands its initiatives. 




 




Outreach: Build and sustain relationships with families, local organizations, and community stakeholders to encourage program participation and collaboration. 




-Implement outreach strategies to boost participant attendance at Babies in the Burgh Mobile stops, Beverly's Baby Showers, and Beverly's Birthdays Group Birthday Celebrations.  




-Collect photos from programming events and support in sharing Beverly’s programs and the work of Beverly’s PGH with the community. 




-Promote The Greater Pittsburgh Infant Formula Bank and aim to increase the number of families served.  




-Foster connections with Beverly's PGH partners to ensure continued collaboration and relationship maintenance.  




-Represent the organization by attending community, educational, and programming events. 




 




Event Coordination: Organize and facilitate community events, workshops, and family-oriented activities that promote involvement and strengthen community connections.  




- Assist with the coordination of all Babies in the Burgh mobile stops.   




- Collaborate with agency partners for mobile stop events.   




- Attend all mobile events and provide support to families with formula and any additional resource needs, when appropriate.   




 




Support Services: Provide direct support to families by connecting them with resources, services, and opportunities for engagement.  




- Serve as the primary contact for the FindHelp SDoH partnership with AHN.   




- Assist the team with inventory management, programming orders, and product requirements. 




-Support in the inventory management of formula for The Greater Pittsburgh Infant Formula Bank. 




 




Data Management: Help collect and analyze participant feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of the program and identify opportunities for improvement. 




 




Training and Support: Work with team members to provide training sessions for staff and volunteers on best practices for engaging families and communities.
