We are currently seeking a full-time Programming Manager for our West Jordan, UT location.
The Audio Enhancement Programming Manager is responsible for monitoring and executing the day-to-day operations of the Programming team and fulfilling all programming projects. This position analyzes production, quality, and cost information to identify challenges and provide recommendations for improvement. The manager will work with internal departments to ensure there is a clear understanding of programming business processes, goals, and expectations. This position manages others within the Programming department.
The Programming Manager coaches the programming staff on processes, procedures, and quality to ensure programming orders are complete and accurate. They will develop plans for improvement in the department and elevate it to a World Class programming service. They will also work side-by-side with most help needed employees to provide instruction and assistance.
This position handles escalated situations, projects, emails, and calls to improve customer satisfaction and perception as it is related to the Programming group. The Programming Manager oversees the operation to ensure a proper end user experience, resolution, accuracy, and that quality process and procedure levels are met. They make recommended operational changes as needed to ensure projects and concerns are handled efficiently and programming commitments are met.
Duties Include:
- Checks programming report data for problems and trends to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for procedure changes.
- Develops or directs the creation of metrics to measure the performance of all areas.
- Assesses performance indicators to determine areas meeting and falling below business expectations – (In the process of developing the Programming team).
- Develops, documents, and executes standard operating procedures for programming.
- Directly accountable for the implementation of all new Programming operational initiatives.
- Conducts operational audits on Programmers to ensure effective operational performance – (In the process of developing for Programming team).
- Determines employees' training needs to produce continuous development plans.
- Executes every element on the training plans under the 30-60-90 – Day Performance period.
- Provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.
- Conducts performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to encourage continuous performance improvement – Complete, Accurate and Timely. (In the process of developing for the Programming team).
- Resolves individual and group performance and attendance issues in accordance with AE policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster teamwork.
- Establishes, follows, and enforces safety standards and procedures in compliance with a healthy work environment and legal requirements.

- Address operation constraints/concerns.

- Review entire Monday Board list of projects to make sure we have staffing for programming projects in the pipeline.
- Discuss and roll out process and procedure changes.
- Programming administrative concerns.
- Weekly Approval of Programming Team Timecards in Paylocity.
- Audit start, breaks, lunch, and finish time.
- PTO rules and processes administered per AE company guidelines.
- Daily/Weekly Update of Programming Employee Attendance Records.
- Miscellaneous.
- Work with innovations teams to ensure all shipped devices are configured with the most up-to-date software and firmware releases.
Requirements:
- Detail Orientation: Distinguishes between “big picture” concepts and comments and specialized, smaller specific facts associated with work; notes the specifics of events and experiences; explains, in general, how details impact end goals or outcomes; ensures that work is completed accurately and with the appropriate level of detail.
- Report Generation: Generates reports in appropriate format; review reports to ensure accuracy and completeness; identifies issues with report generation (e.g., missing variables, incorrect data, etc.).
- Solicits and Gathers Information: Demonstrates a working knowledge of techniques for soliciting and gathering information; identifies appropriate sources of information.
- Solves Programming Problems: Identifies business areas and stakeholders impacted by customer issues; engages appropriate resources to resolve issues; identifies root causes to ensure problems are not repetitive; stays motivated despite difficult circumstances or setbacks.
- Develop experience with managing internal customer relationships.
- Experience managing others.
- Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Has knowledge and experience working programming projects as a Subject matter Expert (SME).
- Analyzes a problem by maintaining ownership until a resolution is provided.
- Good understanding of Programming Monday Board’s.
- Thorough understanding of AE procedures and policies of other departments and functions.
- Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills in all situations with internal customers.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized and dependable.
- Self-motivated and willing to be self-taught.
- Confident in making decisions.
- Works well with little or no supervision.
