Project Accountant

Overview

A Project Accountant is responsible for collaborating with project managers to ensure accurate financial forecasting, timely billing, and effective cost control. You will also support the project teams in budget preparation, financial analysis, and the preparation of financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers to establish project budgets and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data


• Monitor project financials and provide regular reports and analysis to project teams


• Assist in the preparation of project invoices and ensure timely billing to clients


• Review project expenses and ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines


• Conduct financial analysis on projects to identify trends, risks, and opportunities


• Prepare and consolidate financial reports for management review


• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and financial forecasts


• Participate in project meetings to address financial issues and provide guidance to project teams

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting or related roles


• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis


• Proficiency in using financial management systems and project management tools


• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
