The Project Administrator is responsible for the coordination of activity and administration of multiple construction projects from development through construction close out.


The Project Administrator will assist SROA construction department to successfully execute and deliver construction projects within budget, on time and of high quality. 


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Provide support to Project Managers and Construction department to ensure work is performed to meet departmental and organizational goals.

  • Working with the bidding and procurement teams to prepare and issue Contracts, Subcontracts and Purchase Orders. Monitoring those documents to ensure their proper execution and return.

  • Soliciting and tracking Certificate(s) of Insurance from Subcontractors and other parties involved in each project to ensure their proper insurance certificates are maintained.

  • Preparing, updating and monitoring Subcontractor / Vendor checklists to be used for identifying Subcontractors / Vendors for each project.

  • Preparing, updating and issuing Project Directories for use by the Project Management Team during construction for each project

  • Preparing, updating and issuing Project Close-out Documents at the completion of each project.

  • Assisting in other matters as it relates to construction project administration responsibilities.


Qualifications



  • Associate degree preferred.

  • Previous experience as Project Administrator on past construction projects.

  • Ability to interpret construction documents (plans, specifications, contracts).



  • Experience in processing and issuing construction contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Strong Excel skills required.

  • Previous experience with accounting, including accounts receivable and accounts payable, a plus.

  • Must have strong communication skills, proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks such as problem solving, decision making, rational thinking, and exercising good judgement.

  • Experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
