The Positive Childhood Alliance Georgia (PCA GA) in the Mark Chaffin Centers for Healthy Development, School of Public Health is seeking a sponsor funded Family Support Coordinator (Sponsor Funded Professional Project Coordinator I) to play a vital role in PCA GA's Find Help Georgia Project, supporting Georgia families by offering emotional support, resource navigation, and early intervention guidance through a dedicated non-crisis warm line. This roles provides a compassionate and non-judgmental listening ear, emotional support and connections to resources such as parenting supports, mental health services, early childhood programs, housing assistance, and more.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Responds to incoming calls from the Find Help Georgia Helpline
Provide supportive listening and encouragement to caregivers and individuals contacting the Warm Line.
Assist callers with navigating Find Help Georgia’s resources and other relevant services.
Use trauma-informed, strengths-based, and family-centered language to support and guide callers.
Identify and escalate calls that require immediate safety or crisis intervention to the appropriate services or hotlines.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all calls using designated data systems.
Ensure compliance with organizational confidentiality, data protection, and documentation policies.
Contributes to quality resource database
Understand data entry procedures to ensure consistency in categorization, tagging, and documentation.
Assist Project Manager in monitoring feedback from helpline staff and callers.
Support Project Manager in collaborating with community organizations and service agencies to source new resources and confirm existing listings.
Track changes in community services, policies, and program availability to maintain up-to-date database records.
Provide family support services
Connects caregivers to parent education courses and materials.
Supports parent coaching and parent education programs by following up with caregivers in program to reengage them.
Programmatic Support
Support staff in training of volunteers and interns to use the resource database system.
Attend team meetings, reflective supervision, and ongoing training to support personal and professional growth.
Collaborate with internal staff and external partners to ensure families receive timely and relevant information.
Uphold organizational values including equity, inclusion, and dignity in service delivery.
Other duties as assigned.
